During the Korean
War in 1950-1953 an Australian
radio commentary - by Mr.
Murtha and he remarks;
In
December 1950 thanked ”Mr. Murtha the Turkish Brigade’s heroism for
giving hope to a demoralized American nation - Mr. Murtha
continued;
The fierce combat
ability of the Turkish Brigade, should never be forgotten; - The
2786 Turkish soldiers KIA, 2413 WIA, 167 MIA and 244 POW; - it represent the highest casualty rate of any U.N. element engaged in the fighting.
The simple white
grave markers in a big green field near Pusan; - it
will eternally remind us; - of the heroic soldiers of a
heroic nation; - ”Mr. Murtha ended his remarks. -

Among the twenty
United Nations Member States contributing military forces in Korea;
-
Time Magazine praised; - The Turkish Brigade; - for its
courageous battles and for creating a favorable effect, on the whole United Nations Forces, United States Forces
and South Korean Forces from 1950 until 1953.

The Turks
acquitted themselves in a brave and noble fashion and in some of the worst conditions experienced; - in the
forgotten bloody Korean War.

units to which they were attached respected their skills and tenacity in combat. Their bravery
requires no embellishment; -

independence war by M. K. Atatürks order.
We
should always remember; - until today there is no other
world leader and ”Commander in Chief,, ever like M.K. Atatürk;
- He wrote
a tribute and ordered to built a cemetery for the enemies. The man of the century confirmed by many world leaders
like J.F.K, etc.
