As can be seen; - the Turkish Brigade had often demonstrated successes during the critical Korean battles, which affected 4 (four) times; - the course and finally the result of the Korean war.

Finally; - the Turkish Brigade also fought - the last very criticle battle; - and leading to the “Cease Fire„ in Korea on May 29, 1953.

The Turkish Forces; - were awarded; - with the highest honourable, citation of the United States Army, United States Air Force and the United States Congress, - for saving the United States, - Seventh Army, the Eighth Army and the Nineth Army Corps from encirclement, and the total destruction by the comunist enemies, - (North Korea,- Soviet Union, and the Peoples Republic of China), - and the United States Army the 2nd Division, - from total destruction and annihilation, - during the very criticcal battles, from 1950 until leading to the “Cease Fire„ MAY 29, 1953.

The Echoes of the Korean War 1950-1953. The courageous battles of the Turkish Brigade have created a favourable effect; - on the whole United Nations Forces, United States Forces and South Korean Forces in their history for all time.

This legendary effort of the Turkish Forces suffered, with 2413 WIA, 2786 KIA, 167 MIA representing the highest combat casualty rate of any U.N. unit engaged in Korea or some where else (until today).

On October 17, 1950 - Turkey dispatched their army, navy, air force units to defend and leading to the “Cease Fire„ - for the freedom of Korea, the Korean people and for the peace of the world. - From that time until the Korean Armistice was signed in MAY 29, 1953, the Turkish Forces fought, - valiantly" in the critical bloody battles of; -

1- Kunu-ri, 2- Wawon, 3- Shillim-ri, 4- Uijongim, 5- Chosin, 6- Maharet, 7- Kumhwa, 8-Yonch'on, 9 T'oegyewon, 10- Han-Sullim, 11- Pusan, 12- Little Wegas 13- Big Wegas, 14- Wonch Ang-ni, 15- Teagyewonni, 16- Takchon, 17- Garson, and 18- Elko,  - They suffered 2,413 WIA, - 167 MIA, - 244 POW,- 2786 KIA.- Even after the war, the Turkish troops remained in Korea until July 1967.

The approximately six thousand five hundred strong Turkish Forces, Army, Navy, Air Force and the Brigade served under the command of  late Brigade Geneneral Tahsin Yazıcı; - as a part of the U.N. forces fighting the communist expansion on the Korean peninsula.

Radio Moscow; through the critical battels, 1950, 1951, 1952 and finally in MAY 29, 1953 the Turkish Forces
fought the last very criticle battle and leading to “Cease Fire„ - and in the morning of MAY 29, 1953 - every hour breaking the News with the sentence; - Americans you were this time lucky; - in Korea; - because of your Turkish Forces.
